KATHARINE MILLER
Katharine A. Miller has been practicing law as a litigator continuously since January 1987. She represents individuals, private entities, and municipalities in cases that span business, real estate, land use, construction, property, contracts, trade secrets, municipal law, environmental law, and constitutional rights.
Over the years, she has been called upon to represent plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of matters, demonstrating the flexibility and tenacity to do what it takes to succeed in different areas of law and throughout all the stages of the litigation process. She focuses on the strategies that will best serve the client’s interests, and she works aggressively and diligently to achieve those interests.
Oftentimes, Ms. Miller is sought-out for her skilled legal writing, including writing, arguing, and winning dispositive motions and appeals.
Ms. Miller also has extensive experience with the land use administrative process, as well as with other non-litigation business, employment, municipal, and real estate issues. In these matters, she puts her years of experience in litigation to use in working with clients and in negotiating to try to avoid disputes that could otherwise turn into litigation.
Ms. Miller graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1977, magna cum laude, and from Whittier Law School in 1986, summa cum laude. After graduating from law school, she clerked for Judges Ross and Whollman in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit.
